“Proclaim in Egypt, announce in Migdol, announce in Nof and Tachpanches; say: ‘Take your stand! Get ready! For all around you the sword is destroying.
When King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylonia was on his way to attack Egypt, the Lord sent me with a warning for every Egyptian town, but especially for Migdol, Memphis, and Tahpanhes. He said to tell them: Prepare to defend yourselves! Everywhere in your nation, people are dying in war.
Declare in Egypt, and publish in Migdol, and publish in Noph, and in Tahpanhes; say, Stand fast, and prepare thee; for the sword devoureth round about thee.
Declare ye to Egypt, and publish it in Magdal, and let it be known in Memphis, and in Taphnis: say ye: Stand up, and prepare thyself: for the sword shall devour all round about thee.
“Announce this message in Egypt. Tell it in the city of Migdol. Tell it in Memphis and Tahpanhes. ‘Get ready for war, because people all around you are being killed with swords.’
‘Shout this message everywhere in Egypt. Let people hear it in Migdol, Memphis and in Tahpanhes. “Get ready to fight against your enemies! They are already killing the people all around you.”
Declare this in Egypt. Proclaim it in Migdol. Proclaim it in Memphis and Tahpanhes. Say, “Take your positions and get ready. The sword is going to devour those around you.”

Publish in Egypt and declare in Migdol, and proclaim in Noph, and in Tahpanhes, and say, Stand still and prepare thee, for the sword shall devour round about thee.
“Tell this in Egypt; announce this in Migdol. Make it known in Memphis and in Tahpanhes. Say, ‘Take your positions, and get ready. Swords will kill those around you.’
“Proclaim it in the towns of Egypt, in Migdol, Memphis, and Tahpanhes: ‘Get ready to defend yourselves; all you have will be destroyed in war!
Announce it in Egypt, and proclaim it in Migdol! Proclaim it in Memphis and in Tahpanhes! Say: Take positions! Prepare yourself, for the sword devours all around you.
